Ghost Dog

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai is a 1999 crime film written and directed by Jim Jarmusch. Forest Whitaker stars as the title character, the mysterious "Ghost Dog", a hitman in the employ of the Mafia, who follows the ancient code of the samurai as outlined in the book of Yamamoto Tsunetomo's recorded sayings, Hagakure. Critics have noted similarities between the movie and Jean-Pierre Melville's 1967 film Le Samouraï.

The film opened to largely positive critical reception, and was nominated for both an Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature and a César Award for Best Foreign Film.

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai es una película criminal de 1999 escrita y dirigida por Jim Jarmusch. Forest Whitaker interpreta al personaje principal, el misterioso "Ghost Dog", un asesino a sueldo empleado de la mafia, que sigue el antiguo código del samurai como se describe en el libro de los dichos grabados de Yamamoto Tsunetomo, Hagakure. Los críticos han notado similitudes entre la película y la película de 1967 de Jean-Pierre Melville Le Samuraï.

La película se abrió a una recepción crítica en gran medida positiva,  y fue nominada para un Premio Independent Spirit a la Mejor Película y un Premio César a la Mejor Película Extranjera.
